Mobile Field Station in Philadelphia

“Had an amazing time in Philly. Drove the bus down from the Bronx and had a lot of trouble with GoogleMaps. It kept taking me on and off of Route 95 so I found myself driving down back alleyways of Newark and Elizabeth. Robert Smithson’s “Monument to a Steel Pipe” was born here. Then I drove way beyond the city limits because the sign for 76 did not say Philadelphia – so the two hour drive took 5.5 hours. John Cardone (VPA 601 and MLAB alum) was waiting in his driveway aka parking space in a white plastic chair for me for an hour – having fended off the police – and we successfully parked MossLab for Halloween night on the streets of West Philly.” Marion¬†October 31, 2015
